I’m an Afro Latina who is exhausted daily by the news but still have it in my heart to speak out about injustices both communities face. It’s not a competition

One thing about this take is, how much do we actually know about what’s going on in these detention centers? Hell the overseas prison we don’t hear as much about as well. Not to mention colonialism and slavery greatly affected all people in the Americas (granted world wide but seeing as the focus is on America I’m focusing on that)
The main thing I keep seeing with this is an us vs. them mentality and if it was the case that all latin ppl voted red then I get that, but if you’re lumping them all together then you’re no better than the white people that are goose stepping.
